Today, Monday, the Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah Al -Burhan, issued a decision to form a new presidency of the Chiefs of Staff led by Lieutenant General Mohamed Othman Al -Hassan, according to a statement by the army spokesman Nabil Abdullah.
According to the statement, the new Chiefs of Staff includes Lieutenant General Mohamed Othman Al -Hussein Al -Hassan as Chairman, General Magdy Ibrahim Othman, Vice -President of the Authority for Supply Affairs, General Khaled Abdin Al -Shami as Vice President for Training Affairs, and General Abdul -Khair Abdullah Nasser as Vice President for Administration Affairs.
The decisions also include the appointment of Lieutenant -General Malik Khoujli as Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations Affairs, and the team, Mohamed Ali Ahmed Saber, as head of the Military Intelligence Authority.
The statement pointed to the promotion and appointment of each of the team, Mu’tasim Abbas Al -Tom, as a general inspector of the armed forces, the team, Ali Ajabna Muhammad, commander of the Air Force, the team Zakaria Ibrahim Mohamed, Director of the General Administration of Medical Services, and Major General Omar, the secret of the sealing, as the commander of the Air Defense Forces.
Al -Burhan also issued decisions to promote team Abbas Hassan Al -Darouti to the rank of first team and refer him to retirement, the promotion of the team, Abdel -Mahmoud Hammad Hussein, to the rank of first team and his referral to retirement, and the promotion of the pure team, Mohamed Al -Awad, the faithful rank of the first team and his referral to retirement.
These decisions come a day after the proof issued a decision to submit the forces supporting the provisions of the Army Law, according to a statement by the army, yesterday, Sunday, indicating that these forces submit to the law of the armed forces for the year 2007, its amendments and its application to their employees.
The Army Law determines the structures of the armed forces, their bases, organization, qualification, training and tasks, as well as military crimes and prescribed penalties.
The decision did not specify the names of these formations, but the war that has been displayed since April 15, 2023, in which armed movements signed a peace agreement in Darfur participated alongside the army against the “Rapid Support” forces, under the name “joint forces”.
