Russia calls for “caution” against American nuclear threats

Agencies – Moscow:
The Kremlin called for “extreme caution” regarding nuclear threats, after US President Donald Trump published two nuclear submarines on Friday, in response to the statements of former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
“We believe that everyone should be very careful in their statements on nuclear issues,” Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
Trump said on Friday that he had ordered the deployment of two nuclear submarines in “appropriate areas”, in response to statements by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev about the risk of war between the two nuclear armed countries.
The Kremlin confirmed that the visit of the US special envoy Steve Witkev, who will go to Russia this week before the deadline set by the American president to his Russian counterpart to stop the war in Ukraine will be “important and useful.”
