Pakistan emphasizes that dialogue is the only way to achieve peace and stability in the region

Islamabad – SPA:
Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmed, stressed that the escalation of tensions in the region does not serve the interests of any party, calling for an end to violence and instability, and stressing that diplomacy and continued dialogue represent the only way to reach sustainable solutions to conflicts.
This came during a speech he delivered before the UN Security Council, where he explained that Pakistan is continuing its constructive diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing escalation, consolidating the ceasefire, and enhancing regional security and stability.
The Pakistani ambassador called on all parties to avoid statements or actions that might lead to misunderstanding during the sensitive phase of the negotiations, stressing the need to focus efforts on ensuring the effective implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding as the basic framework for supporting the peace path in the region.
