The second batch of the new oil derivatives grant provided by Saudi Arabia has arrived in Al-Mahra Governorate through the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, in quantities amounting to about 4.5 million metric tons of diesel, according to what was reported by the Yemeni News Agency today, Saturday.
The agency said that the Saudi oil derivatives grant contributed to partially reducing government spending, which feeds the Yemeni economy by reducing the burden of spending on the government, doubling the production capacity and reaching 3119 gigawatts per hour during the operation of the stations.
She added that the grant also contributed to covering the needs of power plants in Yemen and the increase in the percentage of electric energy sales by 20% compared to previous years.
