This morning, Sunday, snow began to fall on the peaks of the Al-Lawz Mountains in the Tabuk region, announcing a cold, snowy winter season sweeping northwestern Saudi Arabia, and possibly sweeping the Alaqan and Al-Zaytah regions, due to the extremely cold polar depressions.
While specialists warned that the peaks of the Almond Mountains are not qualified to receive visitors and their roads are not suitable for the heavy traffic of cars during the snow season, and the fog, severe weather, winds and limited vision cause exposure to many dangers.
It is noteworthy that the people of the Tabuk region are waiting to meet their annual white-dressed guest, who comes loaded with the most beautiful stories on the peaks of “Mount Al-Lawz” and the regions of Alaqan and Al-Zaytah, as they are one of the most important sites that witness snowfall every year.
The people of Tabuk are waiting for weather bulletins to be able to experience this climatic phenomenon that is unique to the northern and northwestern regions of Saudi Arabia, for reasons due to its proximity to the very cold polar depressions.
In addition, the National Center of Meteorology expected, in its report on the weather for today, that the sky will be cloudy to partly cloudy, and the opportunity is ripe for thunderstorms accompanied by active winds in parts of the northern border regions, Al-Jouf, Hail, Tabuk, Medina, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and Al-Baha. , Asir, Jizan and Najran as well as the western parts of the regions of Riyadh and Qassim. While it is not excluded that the fog will form over parts of those areas.
