The unemployment rate for the total Saudi and non-Saudi population reached 5.8% in the third quarter of 2022, unchanged from the previous quarter, while it decreased by 0.8 percentage points from the same quarter of last year.
The unemployment rate among Saudi males reached 4.3%, a decrease of 1.6 percentage points compared to the previous year, and a decrease of 0.4 percentage points compared to the second quarter of 2022, while the unemployment rate among Saudi women increased to 20.5%, an increase of 1.2 percentage points compared to the second quarter of 2022, and a decrease of 1.4% points. percentage compared to last year.

According to the survey, the rate of participation of Saudis in the labor force increased by 0.7 percentage points to 52.5%, and the ratio of the employed to the population for Saudis increased by 0.5 percentage points, reaching 47.3%, compared to the previous quarter.
