The rate of women’s participation in the labor market is 37%.
The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia, Engineer Ahmed Al-Rajhi, confirmed that the rate of women’s participation in the labor market during the year 2022 AD amounted to 37%.
Al-Rajhi added, in his opening speech, delivered on the occasion of the launch of the activities of the 12th Social Dialogue Forum, that the Ministry was keen to harmonize with all its partners in the labor market and consider them an important element in success, development and empowerment, indicating that the forum aims to enhance social dialogue between the three production parties.
Investing opportunities
He also pointed out that the importance of the forum lies in investing opportunities and addressing challenges, and providing a distinguished work environment towards an attractive labor market in a way that contributes to supporting the national economy and the labor market strategy, noting that there are about 2.2 million Saudis working in the private sector, which is the highest historically.
In his speech, he stated that more than 550,000 male and female citizens were employed.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi minister explained that these measures were taken in addition to the establishments’ commitment to work decisions and regulations by 98%, the commitment to wage protection by 80%, the documentation of 3.8 million work contracts, and the increase in the rate of amicable settlement of labor disputes by 74%.
