Thwarting the smuggling of more than 81 kilograms of narcotic hashish

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority at Al-Wadiah port managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle more than 81 kilograms of narcotic hashish, after it was found hidden in one of the vehicles coming to the Kingdom through the port.

The authority stated that during the detection and inspection of one of the vehicles coming through the port, 81.3 kg of narcotic hashish was found hidden in the roof cavity of the vehicle.


The authority added that after completing the seizure process, coordination was made with the General Directorate for Narcotics Control to ensure the arrest of drug recipients inside the Kingdom, and thanks to God, he was arrested as one person.

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority affirmed that it is continuing to tighten customs control over the Kingdom’s imports and exports, and stands in the way of attempts by smugglers, in order to achieve one of its most important tasks represented in the security and protection of society from these pests, calling at the same time everyone to contribute to combating smuggling to protect society and the economy.
