The Equestrian Authority in Saudi Arabia stated that the value of the financial prizes for the Kings and Princes Cups Festival in its second evening amounted to 4 million riyals, indicating that the festival held in King Abdulaziz Square in Janadriyah came in appreciation and fulfillment of the march of the late kings and princes.

The festival witnessed 5 main runs of various distances and classifications, four of which bore the names: King Saud bin Abdulaziz, King Faisal bin Abdulaziz, King Khalid bin Abdulaziz and King Fahd bin Abdulaziz.

In exclusive statements to Al Arabiya.net, the Commission added that the value of the prizes and financial rewards has a great impact on developing and supporting the equestrian sport industry in the Kingdom, and advancing it to new horizons that serve the Kingdom’s position locally and internationally.

The five-year-old horse “Tilal Al-Khalidiya” of Al-Khalidiya Stables, led by his rider, Adel Al-Faridi, proved that he is the strongest Arabian horse in the Saudi field today, after he managed to achieve the seventh round of “Imam Faisal bin Turki’s sword” for the second time, with his strong entry and high speed. With which the other horses were unable to catch up with him, he finished the 1600-meter race, in a time of 1.45.85 minutes.

And “Hamdani Khaled Al-Khalidiya” came with his rider, Fahd Al-Faridi, in second place, about three lengths behind the champion, and after him, “Atti Allah Al-Khalidiya”, who paved the way for the champion with his fast start; According to the directives of their coach, Saad bin Mutlaq, until the beginning of the straight line, where “Tilal” increased his speed and rushed towards the lead, and Prince Bandar bin Khaled Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Equestrian Authority and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Horse Racing Club, handed over the sword and the prize to the winners.

“Adat” succeeded in winning the title, after investing in the mares’ preoccupation with her colleague “Ihqaq” with her horse, “Camelio Ospina”, who was one of the most prominent candidates for winning; According to the tight plan of coach Ahmed Mahmoud, to overtake it by two lengths or more, leaving it in second place, while “My Trust” fell to third place, despite all its efforts in the race to win the grand prize, as Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz handed over the trophy and prize to the winners.

As for the “King Khaled bin Abdulaziz Cup”, which is dedicated to four-year-old local and imported mares and horses, it was won by the champion horse “Sylvan”, adding the first royal cup to Majid Al-Qarni’s stable, the horse Abdullah Al-Awfi, according to the plan drawn up by trainer Ghaith Al-Ghaith.

The Red Stable of Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz raised the closing plate for the festival, by winning his horse “Derivo” for the “King Saud bin Abdulaziz Cup”, under the supervision of coach Abdullah bin Musharraf, after they had difficulty in other awards. Despite the great preparations, the champion led the horse, “James Doyle”, to victory, only half an hour after losing the King Faisal Cup.

The horseman found a great response from his horse in the final stages of the decision, and he advanced strongly to grab the lead in “Stay Thinking” with Abdullah Al-Rashed and “Ben Your Hoops” with horseman Adel Al-Fareed, as the trio presented a beautiful break from the competition, which was decided by “Derivo” in his favour. He advanced by two lengths, covering a distance of 2000 meters in a time of 2.04.43 minutes, as the curtain fell on the festival with this victory, and His Royal Highness Prince Gallawi bin Saud bin Abdulaziz handed over the trophy and award to the winners.
