The Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal Al-Ibrahim, confirmed that the Kingdom seeks to reduce its dependence on oil exports.
He said in remarks during the World Economic Forum in Davos that Saudi Arabia is interested in making a number of sectors such as mining and industry more competitive.
The Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning added that the promising sectors in Saudi Arabia, such as tourism, culture, sports and entertainment, are sectors that will constitute a source of diversification of the economy and the Kingdom’s wealth.
