“Wa’ed” closes an investment round of $14 million to invest in a Japanese “Drones” company

Japanese company Terra Drone, which operates in the field of unmanned aircraft services, announced the closing of a $14 million investment round led by Wa’ed Ventures, the venture capital investment arm of Saudi Aramco.

This is to help Terra Drone launch software to help drones inspect and monitor pipes and tanks.

The Japanese start-up plans to use the money to open an office in Saudi Arabia and employ 100 people there within two to three years.
