Months after the incident that shook Egyptian and Arab circles, the curtain came down on the tragic killing of the Mansoura student Naira AshrafSlaughtered in front of the gate of the Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University in Dakahlia Governorate, by executing the death sentence against her murderer, Muhammad Adel.
The Dakahlia governorate woke up to the news of the execution by the Gamasa prison authorities of the death sentence against the perpetrator after the appeal submitted by the accused was rejected, after which the victim’s father broke his silence.
“Rest in peace”
In the first comment, Naira’s father confirmed that his daughter will rest in peace today, after her killer was punished.
And he said: “I thank God, my daughter, now she will rest in her soil.. and that our Lord will give her her right and she will rest in her bed now.. Praise be to God,” in exclusive statements to “Cairo 24” website.

And he continued, “My daughter will not return again..and I am not happy, but this is the justice of our Lord, so that I feel that my daughter has taken her right, and she is now certainly comfortable in her soil.”
This came after the competent authorities rescued, this morning, the death sentence against Muhammad Adel, who was convicted of killing the student, Naira Ashraf, in front of the gate of the Faculty of Arts at Mansoura University in Dakahlia Governorate, after rejecting the appeal submitted by the accused.
Counselor Hamada Al-Sawy, the Public Prosecutor, had ordered, on June 22, that the accused, Muhammad Adel, be referred to the Criminal Court to punish him for what he was accused of deliberately and premeditatedly killing the victim student, Nayra Ashraf, where he had the intention and determination to kill her, and follow her until Zafar. In front of Mansoura University, and surprised her with a knife, stabbed her with several stab wounds, and slaughtered her.
The referral decision came 48 hours after the accident, when the Public Prosecution office established evidence against the accused based on the testimony of 25 witnesses, including students and university security personnel.
A crime that shook the Arab world
It is noteworthy that the crime shook the entire Egyptian street because of its atrocity, especially since the killer stabbed his female colleague in front of the university door and in public, then slaughtered her.
And the surprises did not end here, as the killer repeatedly threatened his victim with slaughter, promising her that he would not leave an intact part of her body.
He also admitted that he chose to terrorize the girl and kill her morally before carrying out his crime, and that he followed her 3 times to carry out his crime and failed twice, until he succeeded in the third.
In addition, this crime led to many other similar crimes in Egypt and other Arab countries, in which the killers carried out the same just method, amid demands that the most severe penalties be imposed on the perpetrators, so that they could serve as an example, as happened today.
