Paris.. The Saudi Crown Prince visits the headquarters of the Riyadh candidacy ceremony to host Expo 2030
The Saudi Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, visited the ceremony Riyadh candidacy to host Expo 2030in Paris, on a visit to France.
Riyadh is competing with Busan, Korea, and Rome, Italy, to host Expo 2030. The year will coincide with the culmination of the efforts of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The proposed date for the Riyadh Expo is from the first of October 2030 until the end of March 2031, which is the period that will coincide with the Christmas period, the Chinese New Year, and the blessed month of Ramadan. In addition to the centenary of the founding of the International Bureau of Exhibitions, which supervises the Expo exhibitions.
On an area of 6 million square meters, and five minutes away from King Khalid International Airport, the Riyadh Expo will be held.
The design will serve as a future city, around an ancient valley, reflecting the Kingdom’s vision to pioneer a sustainable future for cities.
Riyadh’s submission of the Expo 2030 file comes amid a real desire to invite the world to participate in making the future, through 41 million actual targeted visits to the site, and more than a billion visits, through the unique Metaverse platform.
It is noteworthy that Expo 2030 will coincide with the United Nations 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. This will make the Riyadh Expo an opportunity to study the impact of the results of this plan on achieving global goals over the next twenty years.
The city of Riyadh is offering to host the “Expo 2030” exhibition, its ability to organize the event qualitatively, especially in light of the focus on upgrading its classification among the most livable cities in the world.
It is working to develop 6 metro lines covering the city and linked to the Expo site and the airport, in addition to working to raise the capacity of King Salman International Airport to 150 million passengers by 2030.
Also among the factors supporting the city is the establishment of Riyadh Airlines to connect 100 destinations around the world by 2030, and the launch of 68 initiatives with investments of $92 billion to make Riyadh one of the most sustainable cities in the world.
Green Riyadh was launched to develop green spaces at the city level, enhance quality of life and contribute to sustainability goals, in addition to a high level of safety, a very low crime rate, and extensive experience in delivering major events.
