Vladimir Saldo, the pro-Russian governor of Kherson, said Thursday that the bridge was likely attacked by British Storm Shadow missiles, which destroyed the road.
But he explained that traffic was diverted to a different road, according to Reuters.

Meanwhile, the President of the Republic of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, announced that the Ukrainian forces targeted the “Chongar” bridge, without causing any casualties. This attack comes as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed, yesterday, Wednesday, that the counterattack launched by his country about two weeks ago to expel Russian forces from “the lands it occupied in Ukraine” continues, but its intensity has decreased slightly over the past days.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed again that the Ukrainian soldiers had suffered “significant losses”, asserting that there was a “stalemate” on the fronts amid the failure of the counterattack.
