Among the officials, Captain Jason Neubauer, head of the “Naval Board of Investigation” known in the United States as MBI, issued a statement in turn saying that the human remains that were recovered: “They are evidence that will provide investigators with basic information about the cause of the tragedy,” as he put it.

He also said that the MBI intends to transfer the body parts recovered from Canada to the United States, with the most important part of the submarine wreckage “for analysis and testing” for its DNA, and what it likely absorbed from the implosion.
