Manchester City is threatened with relegation from the Premier League sports

The sports network ESPN said on Thursday that the hearing into 115 alleged violations by Manchester City of the English Premier League’s financial regulations will begin next Monday.

In February 2023, Manchester City was referred to an independent committee regarding these alleged violations dating back to the 2009-2010 season and the club allegedly violated the rules regarding providing accurate information.

City are also accused of not complying with Premier League rules requiring clubs to follow UEFA regulations on financial fair play between the 2013-14 and 2017-18 seasons, and of not following Premier League rules on profit and sustainability between the 2015-16 seasons. And 2017-2018.

The club, which won its fourth consecutive English Premier League title in May, said at the time of the referral to the committee that it was surprised by “the league issuing these alleged violations.”

He added, “The club welcomes a review of this matter by an independent committee, to impartially consider the comprehensive and indisputable evidence that supports our position.”

Sources told ESPN that the hearing is scheduled to begin on September 16, and is expected to last about two months and that a final ruling, including any appeal, will be reached by the end of the current season.
