Putin is visiting the Kursk region after its recovery from Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Kursk region, located at the border with Ukraine, which Russia announced its liberation from the Ukrainian forces at the end of last April, according to the “Kremlin”, in a statement, on Wednesday.
“The Kremlin” said, on Wednesday: “Vladimir Putin visited the Corsak region the previous day,” Acting ruler met Alexander Khintansin and representatives of volunteer organizations.
At the end of April, Russia confirmed that it had fully recovered the Corsak region, which was entered by the Ukrainian forces in August 2024. The “Kremlin” statement quoted Jencin as saying that “a mine removal operation” is currently taking place in the Kursk region, where “dozens of explosive devices are removed daily.”
Also during his visit, the Russian president met with local municipal officials in Kurtchov, where the Korsk Nuclear Energy Station is located, according to the statement of “the Kremlin”.
Also, the Russian president visited the site of the Kursk-2 nuclear power plant, according to the same source.
Putin visited the Kursk region, at the end of last March, and expressed, at the time, his hope that it would be “fully liberated” in the “near future”.
At the end of April, the Chief of Staff of the Russian Army, Valerie Gerasimov, confirmed that Russia has completely regained this region.
