Life Style: Huda Beauty moguls meet their Madame Tussauds Dubai wax figures

DUBAI: British model Jourdan Dunn showed off glamorous arm candy by Dubai-based accessories label L’Afshar at London Fashion Week on Saturday.

The catwalk star was photographed wearing a chic blazer by clothing brand Nue, which she accessorized with the YARA bag by L’Afshar. Dunn opted for the bronze mirror colorway to finish off her fashion week look.

Handmade in Dubai, the label is known for its unique, structured designs and use of marbled resin and intricate mirrorwork. Lucite — known commonly as acrylic glass — and birthstones also feature in the brand’s range of typically heavy, straight-edged clutches in a range of clear-to-saturated colors and textures.

The label’s bags have been worn by more than a few Hollywood celebrities, including Victoria’s Secret model Jasmine Tookes, actress Laura Dern, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Rachel Bilson. However, those aren’t the only A-listers who seem to be huge fans of the homegrown brand — actress Jasmin Sanders, Bella Hadid, Kate Upton, Alicia Keys and Chrissy Teigen have all made public appearances with L’Afshar’s arm candy on hand.

Dunn seems to be on something of a Middle Eastern streak when it comes to her fashion choices — she was spotted wearing a glamorous feathered gown by Lebanese designer Jean-Louis Sabaji at a launch party in London on Sept. 4.

Dunn attended Editor-In-Chief of British Vogue Edward Enninful’s “A Visible Man” book launch at London’s renowned Claridge’s Hotel as part of a star-studded list of guests.

The model’s figure-hugging, all-black look hailed from Sabaji’s ready-to-wear Spring-Summer 2021 collection and featured elaborate feather detailing on the neckline and across the length of the sleeves.

Beirut-based couturier Jean-Louis Sabaji is no stranger to celebrity endorsements and has dressed stars from the music industry in the past

From Cardi B and Beyonce to Brazilian singer Anitta, the designer’s creations have been spotted on a number of stages and red carpets.

Dunn complemented her gown with a slicked back ponytail and dramatic, smoldering eye makeup.

The model was on hand to celebrate the launch of Enninful’s book, which traces the journey of the first black person to be named the editor-in-chief of British Vogue.
