“In view of what was included in Supreme Court Decision No. (170 / AH), dated 1/11/1444 AH, that Sunday 11/1/1444 AH – according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar – corresponding to 5/21/2023 AD, is the first day of the month of Dhul Qi’dah for the year 1444 AH, the Supreme Court It would like all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to investigate seeing the crescent of the month of Dhul-Hijjah on the evening of Sunday 11/29/1444 AH – according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar – corresponding to 6/18/2023 CE.

The statement added: “The Supreme Court requests that whoever sees it with the naked eye or through binoculars inform the nearest court to him and register his testimony there, or contact the nearest center to help him reach the nearest court. In Riyadh, the moon will set after 31 minutes of sunset, at the age of 13 hours. In Amman and Jerusalem, the moon will set after 37 minutes of sunset, and at the age of 13.8 hours. In In Cairo, the moon will set 36 minutes after sunset, and its age is 14 hours.In Rabat, the moon will set 44 minutes after sunset, and its age will be 16.2 hours.Visibility in Riyadh, Amman, Jerusalem, Cairo, and Rabat is possible using a telescope only, although it is difficult in the East and the Middle. The Astronomical Society in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also announced that the date of Eid Al-Adha for the year 2023 will fall on Wednesday, June 28, until the first Saturday of July.

As for the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research in Egypt, the date of Eid Al-Adha in Egypt has been set astronomically on Wednesday, June 28th.
