Yemen.. Smoke to expel mosquitoes kills two girls and injures 3 from one family
Five people from one family, including three children, died and were injured of suffocation in one of the areas of Al-Mahweet Governorate, northwest of Yemen.
According to local and Yemeni media sources, two girls from one family died of suffocation, and two women and a girl fainted inside a house in Bani Al-Jabali isolation in the Al-Rajm district in Al-Mahweet governorate, as a result of carbon dioxide inhalation.
The sources pointed out that the family inhaled smoke while burning livestock waste in a stove in order to expel mosquitoes (mosquitoes) from the house, which led to the interruption of oxygen, which led to the death of two girls and the injury of the rest.
According to the sources, the two dead children are Layan Saleh Rajeh (3 years old) and her sister Bayan (2 years old).
