Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed on Sunday that everything necessary was being done to restore security in the north. The Israeli website 0404 quoted Netanyahu as saying, at the beginning of the cabinet session on Sunday: “In the past few days, we have dealt Hezbollah a series of strikes that it could not have imagined.” He added: “If Hezbollah does not understand the message, I promise you that it will understand it.” He continued: “We are determined to return our residents in the north to their homes safely. “No country can tolerate the launching of missiles at its population, or the launching of missiles at its cities.” He went on to say: “We, the State of Israel, will not tolerate this either. We will do everything necessary to restore security.”
The Home Front Command in Israel announced, on Sunday, that it had ordered the closure of all schools in the northern areas of the country near the border with Lebanon, after Hezbollah launched batches of missiles.
This comes after a barrage of missiles were fired last night. The Israeli army added that some of the missiles were intercepted, while some of them landed in the city of Kiryat Bialik, near the city of Haifa and Moreshet, a town in the Lower Galilee region.
