Israeli officials expect escalating pressure from the Biden administration news
Haaretz newspaper quoted a senior Israeli official as saying that they are preparing for practical steps by the administration of US President Joe Biden, as the US warning to Israel regarding the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip approaches.
The Israeli official added that the Biden administration may take decisions such as calling for the Israeli army to end its operations in Gaza, or accusing Israel of starving the population.
Haaretz also quoted Western diplomats as saying that the issuance of a UN report on the state of hunger in Gaza may have an impact on European governments, which are considering imposing sanctions on ministers from the extreme Israeli right.
For her part, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock described the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip as “tragic”, and called on Israel to open all border crossings to the coastal Strip, to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid.
The German official added that the amount of aid reached its lowest level in about a year, and that Israel made repeated promises in this regard but did not fulfill them, noting that most of Gaza’s population suffers from severe malnutrition and lives in unimaginable conditions, as she put it.

With absolute American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 146,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst disasters. Humanity in the world.
Israel continues its massacres, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to end them immediately, and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
