Spotify shows NFT galleries via artist pages
The Spivey platform is testing a way for artists to display non-fungible NFT collections, and the branding may vary each time.
A spokesperson for the platform said in a statement: “Spotify is conducting a test in which a circle of artists are in the current NFT third-party show via artist accounts.
Experiments: We routinely run a number of tests in an effort to improve artists and fans. Some of these tests pave the way wider than each other.
More companies are trying to catch up with the NFT wave. This is the initial image that was previously placed.
According to the Wall Street Journal, daily NFT sales are back 92% from 225,000 in September last year to just 19,000 as of May 3.
The number of NFT wallets is also declining, from about 119,000 in November to 14,000 at the end of April.
And after going to the Steve Aoki artist pages below and The Wombats, the existing NFT gallery shows the playlist.
He appears on the outside. And if you select NFT, see an enlarged version of it, as well as a brief description.
Spotify allows artists to promote NFT
The platform also gives you the option to see more, which directs you to the NFT page via the OpenSea platform where you can purchase it.
But the song streaming platform doesn’t seem to support NFT which are videos or GIFs. And the platform shows a still image of the NFT in the app, not the full video.
It also has audio, which is odd for a music streaming platform. Listen to the NFT or see if it’s a video or GIF by clicking its page within OpenSea.
And Spotify won’t get any NFT sales done through the app, as it’s just testing.
For now, it’s hard to wait until now.
