She was able to access programming for more than eight hours Monday night and early Tuesday morning due to a speaker outage before the service returned to normal, a podcast hosting platform owned by Spotify. The outage stemmed from the company’s failure to renew Megafon’s security certification.
“Megaphone experienced a platform outage due to an issue with our SSL certificate,” Spotify spokeswoman Erin Styles said in a statement. Megaphone, Megaphone service has since been restored.”
