Ballgame and a concert? Sounds like summer to me. The Chicago White Sox will offer up that exact experience on Friday, August 12 when renowned EDM artist Kaskade performs a postgame concert at Guaranteed Rate Field.

The White Sox have incorporated music-themed promotions into their schedule for years. Rock ‘N’ Roll Night, Country Music Night, and Elvis Night have been annual events in recent memory. Beatles Night, Grateful Dead Night, and House Music Night have also gone down at 35th/Shields.

But those themes have been the driving force for in-game entertainment only on their respective nights. Putting on a full-blown show following the game has typically been limited to Friday night fireworks or the occasional movie showing.

Now, the White Sox are taking it to the next level with a full-blown concert. Having Chicago native Kaskade spin a DJ set in the ballpark following a game is a dream come true for a diehard Sox fan and house head like me.

Anyone with a ticket to the Chicago White Sox vs. Detroit Tigers game at 6:10 PM CT will be able to stay for the show, which will begin 30 minutes after the final out. Fans looking to get closer to Kaskade and the DJ decks (which I assume will be in center field) can purchase a Field Pass by following this link.
