Filing a lawsuit against 591 accused of smuggling drugs into Saudi Arabia


The Saudi Public Prosecution announced the filing of a criminal case against 591 persons accused of smuggling drugs into the Kingdom, within only 4 months, with 257 smuggling cases initiated by the drug prosecutions in the regions and governorates of the Kingdom.

According to what the Public Prosecution stated through its official accounts on social media, the narcotic substances that the perpetrators tried to smuggle amounted to 40 million amphetamine pills, while the weight of hashish amounted to 2.5 tons, and the weight of shabu reached 800 kg, among others.

It is noteworthy that the control authorities specialized in drug cases in the Kingdom are playing an effective role in investigating and inferring the crime of drug smuggling, combating it, pursuing the accused, arresting them and seizing narcotic substances at all the Kingdom’s land, sea and air ports.
