Pumping 300 thousand housing units in Saudi Arabia until 2025
The CEO of the National Housing Company, Muhammad Al-Bati, said that the company has a plan that includes pumping 300,000 housing units in various regions of Saudi Arabia until 2025.
Al-Bati added, in an interview with Al-Arabiya, on the sidelines of the Future Real Estate Forum, that the company’s projects are distributed in 17 cities, where 150 projects have been launched so far.
Out of the total implementation plan of 300,000 housing units, “National Housing projects have now reached 116,000 housing units, with total investments of approximately 100 billion riyals, and will continue to pump more investments to reach the target,” according to CEO Mohammed Al-Bati.
While the National Housing projects are concentrated in the city of Riyadh, which accounts for 50% of the real estate supply, Al-Bati explained that the “National Housing” will soon launch new projects in the north and east of Riyadh, with a total supply of more than 50,000 housing units.
The National Housing Company is an investment arm of the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing. It aims to sustain the ministry’s resources, works in partnerships with the private and public sectors, and acts as an enabler for the real estate sector and real estate developers to invest in real estate development in Saudi Arabia.
