Mohammed bin Salman discusses with Putin bilateral relations and ways to develop them


Today, Monday, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a phone call, bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them in a number of fields.

A number of issues of common concern were also discussed during the call, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Cooperation within “OPEC Plus”

For its part, the Kremlin said in a statement that Russian President Vladimir Putin had a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Monday, to discuss cooperation within the “OPEC +” group of oil-producing countries in order to maintain the stability of oil prices.

The Kremlin added that Putin discussed with Prince Mohammed bin Salman cooperation in trade and energy.

The OPEC Plus coalition, led by Saudi Arabia and Russia, includes about 23 oil exporting countries, of which 13 are members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). This agreement was reached in November 2016 with the aim of ensuring the stability of oil markets.
