The resumption of diplomatic representation between the UAE and Qatar enhances joint Gulf action

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the resumption of diplomatic representation between the State of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, in implementation of the Al-Ula Agreement.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted this positive step, which confirms the strength of relations between the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, and contributes to strengthening joint Gulf action, in order to achieve the aspirations of the countries and peoples of the region.

The United Arab Emirates and the State of Qatar announced the restoration of diplomatic representation between them, based on the Al-Ula agreement, and the keenness of the two countries to strengthen bilateral relations.

This will be done by the resumption of the UAE embassy in Doha, the embassy of the State of Qatar in Abu Dhabi and its consulate in Dubai, to resume their work on Monday, June 19, 2023.

The two sides affirm that this step comes as an embodiment of the will of the leaderships of the two countries, and in consolidation of the march of joint Arab action, in a way that achieves the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.
