We will speed up the production of drones… and Sarmat will enter service soon

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the entry of heavy Sarmat missiles into service with the Russian armed forces.

This came during the celebration of the graduation of a new batch of graduates of military colleges, where the President stressed that strengthening the Russian Armed Forces will remain the top priority.

Putin referred to the current challenges, and the experience gained during the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, which will push for further development of the Russian armed forces, as the main aspect of that process is the development of the nuclear triad, which is key to ensuring Russian national security and global stability.

He stressed that half of the operating units now possess the modern “Yaris” systems, as well as the “Avanguard” hypersonic missiles, and continued: “The heavy (Sarmat) missile systems will enter into close service.”

Putin added, “The frigate, Admiral of the Soviet Union Gorshkov Fleet, entered service last January, carrying on board the latest guided missile weapons from the sea and distant oceans of the Russian Navy, on top of which is the modern hypersonic (Zircon) missile.”

Meanwhile, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the West is waging a real war against Russia and provoking conflicts in neighboring countries, and that the Russian army will do its utmost to enhance the country’s sovereignty and security.
