Watch the commander of Wagner leave Rostov, Russia.. and salute its residents

After the agreement to end the rebellion and the Wagner commander to leave the Russian lands, video clips showed Wagner commander Yevgeny Prigozhin, on Saturday evening, leaving the military headquarters in Rostov, Russia, as other clips showed him wandering the streets of the city and greeting its residents.

Wagner’s forces withdraw

After the Kremlin announced that the criminal case against Prigozhin would be dropped and he would leave Russian territory for Belarus, Wagner fighters began, on Saturday, their withdrawal from the military headquarters in Rostov, which they took control of yesterday, with the start of the rebellion against the Russian army.

Videos also showed Wagner’s forces beginning to withdraw completely from the city bordering Ukraine, following a truce agreement mediated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

Start lifting security measures

Simultaneously, the governor of the Lipetsk region, south of Moscow, announced the start of lifting the security measures he had taken earlier on Saturday, after the commander of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, ordered his fighters to stop their advance towards Moscow and return to their camps.

“The restrictions imposed have begun to be lifted today. In the short term, we will allow the return of movement on the roads of the region,” Igor Artamonov said via the Telegram application, according to Agence France-Presse.

A convoy of 5 thousand fighters

A convoy of about five thousand heavily armed men was on its way to the capital, Moscow, after it managed to seize the Rostov region in southern Russia.

Prigozhin had confirmed that his forces had seized “without a single shot” the military general command in Rostov and that they controlled several military sites.

And on Saturday, the Lipetsk authorities announced that fighters from the armed group had entered this area, located about 400 kilometers south of Moscow, which was suggestive of the advance of these rebels towards the Russian capital.

“He’s leaving for Belarus”

Since the announcement of the rebellion on Friday evening, Wagner’s forces have been spotted in three Russian regions, namely Rostov, Voronezh and Lipetsk, before announcing convoys towards the capital, Moscow.

It is noteworthy that the Kremlin announced on Saturday evening that the leader of the Wagner Group will leave for Belarus and that the criminal case against him will be dropped, stressing that the authorities will not prosecute the members of the group who participated in the armed rebellion.
