1000 cases of heat exhaustion among pilgrims.. and the Ministry of Health explains its symptoms

While the pilgrims began performing the Ifaadah circumambulation at the Grand Mosque, today, Wednesday, amid a system of intensive services and organizations, the correspondent of “Al-Arabiya / Al-Hadath” reported today, Wednesday, that more than 1,000 cases of heat stress were recorded among the pilgrims in the holy sites.

The Saudi Ministry of Health explained the symptoms of heat stress, noting that they include headache, nausea, dizziness, weakness, irritability, thirst, excessive sweating, high body temperature and decreased urine production.

Today, Diouf Al-Rahman called on her Twitter account not to stress, to drink plenty of cold water in case of injury, to remove unnecessary clothes, including shoes and socks, to cool the injured person with cold compresses, and to call the Ministry of Health at 937.

And heat exhaustion is a disturbing and emergency disease that may kill life, a spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Health warned of it, earlier, calling on pilgrims while performing the rituals of Hajj, to adhere to preventive measures against sunstrokes by using umbrellas, drinking fluids, and avoiding stress by taking a rest from time to time.

Throwing a big pebble

The groups of pilgrims had risen in the middle of the night and before dawn on the first day of Eid al-Adha, moving from Muzdalifah, heading to Mina to throw seven pebbles at Jamrat al-Kubra (Jamrat al-Aqaba), after standing yesterday at the level of Arafat, and performing the greatest pillar of the Hajj, before staying overnight. In Muzdalifah, while the movement of the guests of Rahman witnessed a smooth movement between the holy places, according to the promotional plan prepared for that.

It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia’s reception of pilgrims to the Holy House of God in this number represents an important achievement, given the challenges the world has witnessed at various levels due to the Corona pandemic, as the Kingdom is working to gradually increase the number during the next four years.

Meanwhile, the Kingdom harnessed its capabilities and accumulated experience in managing crowds, so that the Hajj season would be an example to follow in controlling security, performing the ritual in a safe and stable atmosphere, and working on everything that guarantees the security of Hajj and the safety of pilgrims.
