A new close-up video of the horrific pharmacist run-over accident that rocked Egypt

Social networking sites published a new video, close up from a home camera, of the horrific accident of the pharmacist being run over by an army officer’s car, which shook the Egyptian street due to the heinousness of the crime.

And the Egyptian military spokesman announced, on Tuesday, that an officer had been referred to the military court on charges of premeditated and attempted murder, against the backdrop of an incident that ran over a pharmacist in Madinaty, east of Cairo.

The military spokesman announced that, within the framework of the armed forces’ keenness to clarify the facts for public opinion regarding the incident in one of the residential communities in New Cairo, without prejudice to the progress of the ongoing investigations, Report No. (22/23) on 7/1/2023 military misdemeanours, First Settlement Police Department, was issued regarding the incident. .

Intentional and attempted murder

He said that the Military Prosecution is conducting investigations, and it has been registered in Case No. (170/2023) “military felonies” east of Cairo, adding that the accused has been charged with the crimes of “intentional and attempted murder”, and it has been decided that he be held in pretrial detention pending the case and he is being referred to the Military Court for felonies.

The military spokesman, Kamel, affirmed the armed forces’ respect for the principle of the rule of law, and announced the armed forces’ sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased, and wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.

And the New Cairo area had witnessed a run-over incident involving a pharmacist, her doctor’s husband, and their three children, in addition to another who was accompanying them on a street in the First Settlement Police Department.

Surveillance cameras revealed the details of the accident, as the driver of the car causing the accident, an officer, deliberately ran over the pharmacist because of what was reported that one of her sons had scratched his car.

The accident resulted in the death of the pharmacist from a cerebral hemorrhage. The father, a veterinarian, was also injured. Their three children sustained separate injuries, and they were taken to the hospital for treatment.

According to eyewitness accounts, the victim’s wife is called “Basma”, and she is the wife of a doctor named “Hamdan Zaki” who works for a pharmaceutical company in an Arab country, and she was on leave to visit her family in Egypt during Eid al-Adha.

They revealed that the cause of the accident was due to the fact that her child was playing with a “scooter” in front of the house, and he collided with the accused’s car.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that the owner of the car got into his car and followed the father and his family and deliberately ran over them all, resulting in the death of the mother and the injury of the rest of the family.
