Israeli bombing targeted Iranian sites in Damascus last night

The Israeli news site Ynet reported today, Thursday, that: Israeli Air Force The bombing of “Iranian” targets in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Wednesday evening.

The site indicated that the Syrian air defense system was not activated to repel the attack.

It is worth noting that the Syrian authorities have not issued a comment on the incident so far.

Syrian media did not mention the incident, which would be the second raid in Syria this week.

Last June, Israel targeted a military site in the vicinity of the Al-Kiswah area in the Damascus countryside.

Hundreds of airstrikes

Since the outbreak of the conflict in Syria in 2011, the region has witnessed tensions from time to time, as shells sometimes fall on the Israeli side, which responds to them.

Over the past years, Israel launched hundreds of air raids in Syria, including Syrian army sites and Iranian and Hezbollah targets, some of them in this region.

Israel rarely confirms the implementation of the strikes, but it repeats that it will continue to confront what it describes as Iran’s attempts to establish its military presence near its borders.
