10 foods contain more vitamin C than oranges

When it comes to a good immune system, Vitamin C is the ultimate nutrient. While oranges are said to contain 53.2 mg vitamin C per 100 grams, there are other foods whose vitamin C content exceeds citrus fruits. According to the Times of India, the list includes:

1. Guava

At the top of the list is guava, a tropical fruit that contains four times the amount of vitamin C compared to oranges. It contains 228.3 mg of vitamin C per 100 grams.

2. Kiwi

One medium-sized kiwifruit provides more than double the recommended daily amount of vitamin C, containing 92.7 mg of vitamin C per 100 grams.

3. Strawberry

Just eating a handful of strawberries can provide the body with more vitamin C than an orange. Every 100 grams of strawberries contains 58.8 mg of Vitamin C.

4. Papaya

Known for its vibrant color and tropical flavour, papaya is another fruit that surpasses oranges in vitamin C content. Eating papaya gives a good vitamin C boost, 100 grams of which contain 61 mg of vitamin C.

5. Pineapple

You can get 79 mg of vitamin C per 100 grams of pineapple.

6. Mango

One mango provides about 122 mg of vitamin C to the body.

7. Red pepper

One red bell pepper contains three times more vitamin C than an orange, making it an excellent addition to salads or even enjoyed as a snack. The amount of vitamin C in 100 grams of red pepper reaches 127.7 mg.

8. Broccoli

89.2 mg of vitamin C can be found in 100 grams of broccoli.

9. Kale

Kale vegetables provide a large amount of vitamin C with 93 mg in 100 grams.

10. Broccoli

A medium cauliflower can provide about 127 mg of vitamin C.
