42 people were killed in a plane crash in Azerbaijan

42 people were killed, and 25 others survived, when an Azerbaijan Airlines plane crashed in western Kazakhstan, with 67 people on board, according to the Kazakh Emergencies Ministry. The ministry said, in a statement via the Telegram application: “According to preliminary information, there are 25 survivors, including 22 people who were taken to the hospital,” explaining that 150 rescue personnel were sent to the crash site. Medical authorities had previously reported that 14 people survived. The authorities reported that a passenger plane belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines had crashed in western Kazakhstan, while it was on a flight from Baku to Grozny, the capital of the Russian Caucasian Republic of Chechnya.
