Microsoft plans to launch an Xbox streaming tool next year

You want a week of access to Xbox anywhere, the Xbox Cloud gaming platform is a prime example.

Earlier this month, Fortnite was added to its cloud gaming platform, allowing anyone to stream it on a device, anytime and for free, as the Redmond-based giant plans to launch streaming next year to expand it further.

And according to a recent report from Venture Beat citing “people familiar with development,” Microsoft is working on a version of Xbox Cloud games, most likely a streaming stick, expected to come in the next 12 months. You can expect it to look like Amazon’s Fire TV stick, and watch that will allow streaming games from the Game Pass library as well as the usual TV TV movies like other streaming devices.

Running the service prior to running Xbox Cloud Gaming apps for Samsung TVs, which will allow games to be streamed on the company’s TV without the need for an external streaming device, the app is also expected to launch next year.
