Kanye fans from Chicago… cue up “Homecoming”!
In a post on Instagram today, hip-hop artist Kayne West announced a listening session for his new album ‘Donda’ back in his hometown on the lakefront at Soldier Field. The date of the event is Thursday, August 26 at 9 PM, and will tickets go on sale Friday, August 20 at 12 PM (both times Central).
This announcement follows two listening events Kanye held at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The album was initially supposed to drop in July, but Kanye continued to work on it instead. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Kanye showed off a room in Mercedes Benz Stadium where he went to work on the album after the original event.
The delayed timeline was a result of Kanye adding multiple songs and features to the album. The current known features include Jay-Z, Pop Smoke, Lil Baby, and more.
‘Donda’ will be Kanye’s tenth studio album. Executives at Def Jam Recordings have confirmed in social media comments that the album will release after the event at Soldier Field.
